How to make a super easy Washi tape card

As always, I made the envelope match its card. That was really easy. It personalizes the set even more, and it adds a lot of originality :)

Here's how I did it...

A few weeks ago, I found a set of 8 plain "Thank you" cards and envelopes for $1.50.- What a bargain huh?!

The cards have a soft texture.

I bought the most of my Washi tape on sale, in different periods. That way I got to have quite a variety in colors and patterns for little money :)

You can use some cardstock for the card.

That's it!
Very easy to make, yet unique and pretty cards.

I will love to know your opinion.
Thanks for stopping by!
Sam.

Elegant cards

White embossed cardstock punched on the edge, white paper punched butterfly, flowers in white and light pink, pearl embellishments and corner punch.

Scrapbook paper in a red&white pattern, a strip of scalloped punched "newspaper-like" patterned scrapbook paper with pearl embellishments, and corner punch.

Scrapbook scraps cards

I used some stamps here and there for these cards.
I love having a matching envelope for a unique card :)

Paper punches, stamps and scraps!
You can do so much with little :)

Very simple: cardstock in various colors, stamp, paper punch and corner punch.

I made three cardstock butterflies, and glued them all together -only- in the middle, so that the butterfly would have the 3D effect. Then I placed some rhinestone embellishments in its center.

How do you like these cards?

Doily greeting cards

I often make the envelope match its card by glueing an image that bonds them. In this case, a cardstock doily.

I love using the various vintage frames, and images of scrapbook paper!
In this case, I stamped a "Thank you" in that cool vintage frame and I finished it with an elegant corner punch :)

I used lots of washi tape on the left side of this card :)

Please, leave your comments and let me know what you think :)

Paper muffin cup greeting cards

Lace and bow, paper muffin cup flower, cardstock doily and paper flower.

Since the card is so dark, I glued a piece of scrapbook paper in a light color so that it is comfortable to write on it.

Please, let me know what you think about it :)

White paper doily, red paper muffin cup flower with white polka dots, blue cardstock doily & yellow flowers, pearl embellishment, colorful scrapbook butterflies and a thin blue lace.

How to make a card with a muffin cup and a rosette

Easy to make greeting card :)

You will need:
*Cardstock
*Scrapbook paper
*scissors
*paper punch
*A pencil
*A paper muffin liner
*Bakers twine
*Glue
*White paper
*Stapler (optional)
*A glass/ round lid, etc
*A small button.

Measures...
To make a rosette just a bit smaller than the flower, you will need a glass or round lid, with a diameter not bigger than 3 1/2".
I used a blue piece of cardstock, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" for the card itself.
A strip of green "squared" scrapbook paper, 1 1/4" x 5 1/2", on one side of the card, placed lengthwise.

Lets start with the muffin liner flower...

Lay flat the muffin liner and fold it in half, and then fold it in half again. Do that three times. After doing so, it should look like the yellow muffin liner in the picture above.

Draw a petal on the muffin liner as it is shown in the picture. Then cut on the lines you drew, and unfold the paper muffin liner. It should look like the red polka dots liner above.

Glue only the center of the muffin liner flower to the cardstock you are using for your card.
Using the glass/round lid, draw two circles on the white paper.

Cut the circles. Fold them in half twice. Unfold, and cut only the radius. Then fold the paper in half, twice (again) as it is shown above.
Use the scissors to make a scalloped edge. It would be easier if you have scalloped or zig zag scissors, but you can still get the same result with regular scissors.
Using the paper punch next to every scallop, make holes all over the edge.
The paper now will look like a doily.
You have to do this with both circles of paper.

Crease both doilies in between every scallop/hole. Now you have two "half-rosettes". Glue them together. After doing so, you can also use a stapler to help hold them steady.
Glue a little piece of paper (about 1/2"x1/2") to the back of the rosette. Once it dried, you can glue the rosette on top of the muffin flower on your card.

Cut a piece of cardstock and make a small flower of about 1" of diameter. You can either draw the flower on the cardstock and then cut it, make a flower template (there are lots of free templates online to print) or use a paper punch like I did.
Glue the flower to the rosette.

Make a small bow in the holes of the button and then glue the button to the center of the small flower you just did.

Cut some scallops on one edge (lengthwise) of your strip of scrapbook paper. Glue the strip on the card as it's shown on the first picture.

That's it!
